PS I would not recommend heeding the one-star reviews if you are an ND fan, as these were comparing ND games with other Hidden Object games. Plot, graphics etc were up to the usual excellent standard. If you're as fascinated with the genius inventor as I, you will totally appreciate the work and research invested by Her Interactive in The Deadly Device. A solid game with puzzling puzzles while adding interesting facts about Nikola Tesla. Will play again on Amateur so I can relax a little and more enjoy the scenery. The game was quite challenging on Master Sleuth level. This particular game's characters come to life with clear voice overs and superior acting. As an adult, I totally enjoy the gaming aspect. This game is well worth the time and the money invested. Some things must be done in a certain order to unlock other items. I suggest checking out Youtube if you become frustrated. There are many twists and turns in this game as well. They aren't necessary for the game but easy and fun. I enjoyed learning about Tesla and how much of his science has impacted our everyday lives. I had to use basic knowledge of two academic subjects. This is fun because of the challenges presented. I enjoyed the story line as well as the character profile. This particular ND is still one of my favorites so far. I may have neglected to complete some step required to get the hum activated, but was simply not able to get it to work. I know this forum is not for tech problems, but the technical issues forum is locked so I just wanted to mention one problem I did encounter: The hum outside the lab never occurred so I was unable to get into Ellie's office and move forward, so I switched from playing Master Sleuth to Amateur and that ran fine. Great environments and all the voice-overs are super makes me regret even more that soon we will no longer hear Lani Minella portraying Nancy. The Deadly Device is another title in the Nancy Drew mystery series games. The puzzles were interesting and just complicated enough for someone like me who looks for a challenge in games. Aside from that, the audio and video quality are excellent. As is usually the case, there is a lot to be learned along the way and I found myself pausing several times to Google different topics concerning Tesla.
